Not-So-Hot Mess

Sorry kids, but I’m feelin’ bluer today than my busted-looking, umpteen years-old navy J.Crew cardigan. Yes, I am wearing it right now, but it is not the source of my blues. Merely the visual. And appropriate at that.

At the very least, I have a comfycozy breffast inside my belly to go with the comfycozy sweater that is holding it all in. Speaking of which, part of my woe is a painful bubble in my tummy – I woke up with it and it Will. Not. Budge.

This is one of my favorite cold breakfasts, and despite the fact that I ran out of plain yogurt and had to sub in some cottage cheese, it remains delicious. Nothing like front-loading your protein for the day to fend off further painful hungry tummy bubbles.

In my deskfast:

  • ½ cup no-salt-added cottage cheese (since I had to bench the yogurt for today)
  • 100g fresh strawberries (or whatever fruit I’m feeling, usually berries)
  • ½ cup Kashi Go Lean (my lovaaaahhh)
  • 1/3 cup Kashi Heart to Heart (in it for a threesome today—usually I do not fornicate against my Go Lean)
  • 1 tbsp walnuts
  • 1 tsp flax seeds

At least it is a short week – I worked yesterday in favor of taking Friday off for a sojourn to Boston what so I can visit my sister. Wikkid pissah.

Hope you are not having a Tuesday Bluesday like me! Sometimes you just wake up on the wrong side of that there bed, ya heard?
